A Big Task

It is my goal Insha’Allah to begin with Vol. 1 of Tareekh al-Tabari which is the most authentic and complete history of Islam from creation to Ottoman times and provide summary notes here for each volume as I progress through them.

There are 40 volumes in all covering 4700 pages hence the title for this post. ;-)

This will by no means be an exhaustive summary but highlights of what is presented.
